This Privacy Policy describes how Coin Scanner & Value Finder ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the App.

Information We Process

When you use the coin scanning feature, the App may process the following:

• Coin photos you choose to scan
• An anonymous device identifier used to enforce scan limits and basic abuse prevention
• Purchase and subscription status information provided by Apple and RevenueCat
• Coins you choose to save locally on your device

How We Use Information

We use this information only to:

• Identify coins and generate scan results
• Show estimated value ranges and coin story content
• Enforce free and premium scan limits
• Restore and manage premium subscription access
• Provide customer support when you contact us

AI Processing

If you use the AI scan feature, your selected coin photo is sent through our scan service to OpenAI for coin identification. This processing is used only to generate the scan result. Please do not upload sensitive, personal, or unrelated photos.

Local Storage

Saved coins, recent scan history, and certain app preferences may be stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account to use the App.

Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services that process limited information on our behalf, including:

• OpenAI, for AI-powered coin analysis
• RevenueCat, for subscription management and purchase restoration
• Apple, for in-app purchases and App Store services

Data Retention

We aim to minimize data collection. Saved coins remain on your device unless you delete them. Backend scan-limit records and technical logs may be retained only as long as needed for abuse prevention, service reliability, and legal compliance.

Your Choices

• You can decline AI scan consent and choose not to use the AI scan feature
• You can revoke AI scan consent later in the App settings
• You can delete saved coins from within the App
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
